Objects Used In Puja





The Hindu home shrine

Most Hindus can worship a small shrine in their home everyday.This worship is called 'Pooja'. In this temple, some of the deities (called a Murti) will have Ganesh or Krishna.These films help the Hindus to focus on different aspects of God.These images help the Hindus to focus on different aspects of God.Every shrine will be in a pooja. These are used in worship
These are used in worship. When they worship, they help Hindus to utilize all the blessings, and the whole person joins in worship.

Objects used in Puja (worship)

Bell
He prays for the worship of God, inviting him into the house, and revealing to the Lord a light to know Him.



Diva lamp
 prayer is light and moving around in circles with light to the shrine.This light represents the existence of God.



Incense holder and incense (joss sticks)
The worshiper shines the incense stick , and goes around the circles.It cleans up the air and makes a special aroma to God.





Water container and spoon
God is provided with a spoon. This should show respect for God.Traditionally, in India, people welcome guests by providing water for drinking and washing.From day to day, wash the mother's home pictures - show devotion and respect for them.



Container for kum kum powder
Worshipers will make a glue with red kum kum powder.They are used to create a note on the forehead of the images.This is again a sign of respect and devotion to God.As a sign of God's blessing, they will give a mark on their foreheads.



Prashad
Devotees blessing the gods provide food (eg fruits and rice) and flowers. This blessing food is called 'Parshad'. Then it was eaten by the worshipers.
